Born in Florence, where she began her training and graduated ARAD with honours, Martina Angioloni is the winner of various competitions and scholarships including: Concorso E.Polyakov, Eurocity Competition, Città di Perugia, overall first prize at Giovani Talenti Teatro di Torino, Tutto Danza, Danz&state, John McAslan Family Trust Prize for progress and achievement at the Royal Ballet School of London. She trained at the Academy of the Vienna State Opera where she graduated with honours and immediately joined the Corps de Ballet of the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera Ballet) at the age of 17. Since then she had a fourteen years international career as a ballet dancer that allowed her to work with many european ballet companies in Austria, Germany, England and Italy, covering soloist and principal roles. She danced in choreographies of Renato Zanella, J.C.Maillot, Carolyn Carlson, Susanne Linke, Balanchine, J. Kilyian, Uwe Scholz and has performed in most of the ballets of the classical repertory such as: Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Cinderella, Paquita, Spartacus, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Les Sylphides, The Seven Deadly Sins, The Sleeping Beauty … Anthony Taylor, Steffen Fuchs, Vanessa Tamburi are amongst those who created roles for her.
She has participated in festivals such as Monaco Dance Forum, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, TanzArt and Festival Dance in Italy for which she created her first choreography Words Unspoken in 2011. She has been passionate about choreography since childhood and her creations have won over critics as well as audiences.
In addition to her native Italian language, Angioloni speaks German, English and French fluently. She graduated from University cum Laude in theater and dance science. She holds a Masters in Performing Arts Management as well as the PDPTC Professional Dancers’ Postgraduate Teaching Certificate of the Royal Academy of Dance.
She is very passionate about opera and has been working with many opera singers as a language coach.
She has contributed to the production of many artistic projects collaborating with various institutions including ISIA Design, New York University, Teatro alla Scala, Ballet in Progress®, Publiacqua, Middle East Now Film Festival, Palazzo Medici Riccardi and Project Italia s.r.l., of which she is Head of the Multimedia Installations Department.
She is a dance critic for the magazines Bachtrack and TeatriOnline.
Martina is currently a freelance performing arts manager, writer on dance, choreographer and dance teacher. She specializes in teaching vocational students and preparing them for entering international academies or professional companies. Numerous young dancers prepared by her have won international competitions and prestigious scholarships which helped launch their careers.
