Osiris

About This Project

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This Choreography was created in 2014 for 12 dancers as part of “In 80 Tage um die Welt” (“Around the World in Eighty Days”).
Osiris is about a husband dreaming of the reunion with his lost love, a beloved wife who died suffering from delusions brought on by an infected mosquito bite. The aim of this choreography is to represent the true and deep feelings of an Egyptian person, but filtered through the eyes of the stereotypical view that the Westerners have of this magical country. The whole scene is actually a dream of Phileas Fogg.
